Checkpoint Theatre is frequently commissioned to present work at the Singapore International Festival of Arts and its predecessor the Singapore Arts Festival. We are also regularly commissioned by the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, NUS Arts Festival and Singapore Writers’ Festival, and we have presented work in collaboration with the National Museum of Singapore. Our work has toured cities worldwide, including Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and New York.
We work with the Ministry of Education’s Singapore Youth Festival and Creative Arts Programme to champion arts education in Singapore and we have brought the arts to young people in over 30 secondary and tertiary schools and educational institutes.
