Bestow the magic of theatre upon the next generation – donate theatremaker Adib Kosnan’s workshop, Devising for Young Adults, to children and youths from Suncare SG!
Suncare SG reached out to Checkpoint Theatre after watching and resonating with our production of Hard Mode, a coming-of-age play that captures the joys and challenges of a group of youths growing up in Sengkang. Based in Punggol, Suncare SG is a charity that champions Singapore’s youths by supporting their well-being and embracing their challenges with them – academic pressures, intricate relationships, the demands of the digital age and more.
This workshop will teach the youths how to devise for theatre and create their own original stories under the guidance of experienced theatre practitioner and Associate Artist Adib Kosnan. They will learn Checkpoint Theatre’s unique devising process, and experience how theatre is made while learning openness, cooperation, and teamwork.
